Traditional Sculpts

I've been dedicating time to practicing traditional sculpting recently, and I'm quite happy with the progress I've been making. Currently, I'm using air-dry clay, and while it can be a bit challenging to control at times, it's been boosting my confidence. Since it dries quickly, it forces me to be more decisive during the sculpting process.

For the time being, I'm focusing on one specific subject matter. My intention is to become more accustomed to this medium before making more complex sculpts.

Attempt 1 at sculpting a skull. This was quite fun and I learned a lot from this one.
-I should've used an armature.
-Since it's air dry clay it would've been better to do a block-in and let it dry before applying clay on top.
-Don't sculpt a skull 🥲

This was the best clay I've used so far. It's a water-based pottery clay. Very easy to manipulate.
